“Love Can Pass the Test of Time”
Somewhere in the forest,
There’s a giant pine;
It’s standing tall alone,
High above the timberline.
Its branches spread wide,
As it embraces the sky;
It stands for a love,
As strong as yours and mine.
True love,
Can pass the test of time;
You could search,
The whole world over,
And you would never find,
Another love,
As true as yours and mine.
Even though the cold winds blow,
Covering it with ice and snow,
Someplace in its heart,
It still finds room to grow.
It’s a symbol of what can happen,
When true love leads the way;
It lends to us its strengths,
With trials faced each day.
Through the years,
That have come and gone,
That grand old pine,
Has stood forever strong.
Sometimes others wonder,
How our love,
Has past the test of time;
In answer to their questions,
We point to the timberline,
And say…………
True love,
Can pass the test of time;
You could search,
The whole world over,
And you may never find,
Another love as true,
As her’s or mine.
Yes true love,
Can pass the test of time.
